Poser feminist, liberal idealist, fake hippie activist morals, privileged views: a monumental misunderstanding. A view that the sun can touch every part of the earth, that no shadow is permanent, clouds can blow away and even the coldest places can be warmed if given the chance. A view that the lush greenery that use to climb over mountain ridges and down to the water, uninterrupted by the gray claws by unempathetic creatures, may in fact, one day sprout and flourish again in protest. A view that the human, while capable of negative thoughts that are detrimental not only to its own species but to all life, may also be capable of resisting acting on this unwarranted hate. A view that females while beautiful are equally powerful, their existence, health and prosperity is their own and carries the same importance as those labeled a different gender. A view that love is capable of pouring from all hearts to all people, warming the sad, embracing the sick, suffocating the hate, inspiring the young, persisting as a reason for our fragile existence in possible harmony. Why the labels? Certain policies and opinions differ from my own, but is that reason and permission to disagree that people within our species all have permission from others in their own species to live as they find most fulfilling? Of course not.
Homelessness?
Whose deserving?
Starvation?
Who volunteers to embody the hardship?
Mental illness preventing presence in the workforce?
Whose worthy of the tragedy that ensues?
But my question is simply why people of our species, humans, homeospaian-sapians, treat those in crippling situations so differently? America, why hire some salary earning individuals to install spikes under bridges to make it impossible for other HUMAN BEINGS to find shelter to stay in? France, why make mental illness such an embarrassment that it deters those struggling, pilling the burden, humiliating the family and yanking the joy of life from the individuals clenched fists? India, why make homelessness a shame so strong these peoples status is below that of some animals, a shame that drives some to take the most precious thing we are provided with when brought into the world: life?
Not my humanity.
